Ghana MiDA project, Upgrade of N1 Highway

Construction work has started on the 14 kilometres N1 Highway, one of the key projects under the MCA Ghana Program. The N1 highway stretches from the Tetteh-Quarshie Interchange to Apenkwa.

The existing Tetteh-Quarshie-Mallam road is a major road for farmers in the Greater-Accra, Western and Central Region but is severely congested during the greater part of the working day.

The N1 Tetteh-Quashie-Mallam road has an insufficient road condition and will be reconstructed into a first-class, three-lane dual carriage way, which will reduce travel time and vehicle operating cost.

In cooperation with our licensee holder in the Netherlands, Mustek Bitumen, supplied Sealoflex® polymer modified bitumen PG70 for this project. The long-term performance of this road will greatly benefit from using SuperPaveTM and Sealoflex® asphalt technology.
